Rainy days are here again

PITTSFORD, N.Y. – Play was suspended at 2:03 p.m. in Thursday’s opening round of the LPGA Championship due to heavy rain with puddles beginning to form on the greens, but the break in action didn’t last long. Fifteen minutes later, play resumed.

Stacy Lewis finished before play was suspended, holing an 8-foot birdie in a downpour at her last hole to gain a share of the early lead at 4-under.

Moments later, Seon Hwa Lee holed a bunker shot from 45 feet at her last hole to join Lewis at 4-under. She hit her approach in a downpour but holed out as the rain abated.
