AUGUSTA, Ga. – Saturday feels a lot like Sunday at Augusta National, with the grounds already abuzz more than three hours before the leaders tee off thanks to Tiger Woods’ charge up the leaderboard on Friday.
Among the morning sightings was Champions Tour staple Jay Haas, on property to watch his son, Bill who tees off at 11:15 a.m. (ET); and fellow senior staple Mark O’Meara, who missed the cut with rounds of 77-73 but was taking advantage of the club’s sprawling practice tee Saturday morning.
Kevin Na also failed to advance to the weekend (73-74) but was plowing through range balls early Saturday. Or, as one observer joked, maybe he just finished his second round.
