DORAL, Fla. – Thursday’s midday storm at Doral that blew over the 18th-hole leaderboard, TV towers and ShotLink outposts has also prompted the closing of a portion of the grandstands adjacent the Blue Course’s closing hole.
In fact, officials have closed off traffic behind the grandstands as well.
Safe move, but it will limit capacity at the closing hole for the marquee pairing of Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson and Graeme McDowell, which is midway through the second round.
