PARKER, Colo. – The Americans shouldn’t have been surprised to receive red, white and blue cowboy boots as part of their Solheim Cup gifts this week.

This team is dominated by Texans.

Angela Stanford, Stacy Lewis, Brittany Lang and Gerina Piller were either born, grew up or currently live in the Lone Star state.

“They’re awesome boots,” Stanford said.

Stanford was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas. Lewis moved to the Houston area in her youth. Lang was born and raised in McKinney, Texas. Piller was a standout at the University of Texas at El Paso and makes her home in Plano, Texas, today.
