AKRON, Ohio - For five dozen residents of northeast Ohio, dinner was on the house Friday night courtesy of a former Masters champ.

After firing a 1-under 69 Friday at Firestone Country Club, Bubba Watson found himself in a tie for sixth at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational, nine shots behind 36-hole leader Tiger Woods. Apparently, Watson’s next stop after leaving the South Course was to a local Chipotle.

As a tweet from Webb Simpson’s caddie Paul Tesori indicates, Watson purchased dinner for more than 60 people at the establishment in Akron, ringing up a bill of nearly $500.

According to a later tweet from Tesori, the four-time PGA Tour winner also left a $100 tip for the restaurant staff. Watson tees off at 12:50 p.m. ET in Saturday’s third round at Firestone alongside Luke Donald and Jason Dufner.
