The Web.com Tour on Tuesday announced a new event for the 2014 schedule – the Cleveland Open, which will be held June 5-8 at Lakewood Country Club.
The 156-player field will compete for a purse of $600,000 at the par-71, A.W. Tillinghast-designed Lakewood CC. All four rounds will be televised by the Golf Channel.
Prior to next year’s event, the Web.com Tour has played 14 tournaments at two Cleveland-area venues, Quail Hollow (1990-2001) and StoneWater (2005-07).
The rest of the 2014 Web.com Tour schedule will be announced “in the near future,” according to a release.
