Talk about paying the price for a bad drive.

Below is a promotional video for PGA Tour Canada at this week’s Great Waterway Classic in Cornwall, Ontario. J.J. Regan, a member of the tour, was supposed to hit a drive that looked like it was firing out of a cannon as a way to kick off the tournament. Only problem is, golf doesn’t always go exactly as planned. Regan hits this drive a little thin, resulting in the ball ricocheting off a short wall in front of him and rocketing back into his legs. It looks like he survived the incident without serious injury but maybe it’s time we introduce shin guards (and possibly a cup) as required golf equipment.

On a positive note, at least his ball stayed dry.
