The last time Rory McIlroy had tickets to a high-profile fight in Las Vegas, he was playing such good golf that he ended up watching Floyd Mayweather box Manny Pacquiao from the media center at the WGC-Cadillac Match Play.
Fast forward a little more than a year later, and it appears the 5th-ranked player in the world has learned his lesson - don’t schedule golf on a day you want to be somewhere else. Problem solved.
McIlroy and buddy Niall Horan of One Direction fame popped up at Conor McGregor’s victory party at Intrigue Nightclub in Las Vegas on Saturday, after McGregor defeated Nate Diaz by decision at UFC 202.
