Queen of the subtle jab, Caroline Wozniacki, was at it again on Monday, sending this totally innocent tweet congratulating 21-year-old Jordan Spieth on winning the Masters. Just one professional athlete congratulating another. How sweet.
Congratulations to @JordanSpieth on winning @TheMasters! Extremely impressive how he came out firing from the start and never looked back!
— Caroline Wozniacki (@CaroWozniacki) April 13, 2015
That is, of course, until you rememeber Wozniacki went through a very public breakup with world No. 1 Rory McIlroy, the very same Rory McIlroy who led the 2011 Masters through 54 holes by four, only to blow up with a final-round 80.
Now that whole part about “firing from the start and never looking back” looks a lot like a dig at her ex.
And Twitter, as it usually does, took notice:
@CaroWozniacki @JordanSpieth @TheMasters let it go love, he dumped you. Move on

So, three hours later, the tennis star sent another tweet, clarifying that she was not taking a shot at Rory and just congratulating Spieth.
Tweeps I was congratulating Speith on his win, nothing else.. It's time for some of you to move on from the past. Thank you! 😘

Glad she cleared things up, people may have gotten the wrong idea. Poor gal is so misunderstood.
