Jason Day, Rickie Fowler and defending champion Justin Rose headline the field, as the PGA TOUR is in Louisiana for the Zurich Classic of New Orleans. The LPGA Tour is outside of Dallas for the Volunteers of America Texas Shootout, featuring seven of the top-10 in the world scheduled to compete, including Lexi Thompson and Stacy Lewis. The Web.com Tour is in Indiana for the United Leasing & Finance Championship, the first of 10 Web.com Tour events airing on Golf Channel in 2016. And the European Tour is in Beijing for the Volvo China Open, with Miguel Angel Jimenez headlining the field.

Golf Central airing on-site in New Orleans:Golf Channel’s evening news program, Golf Central, will be on-site at TPC Louisiana, airing live Thursday-Sunday and offering insight and analysis once the tournament gets underway. Ryan Burr will host, while Brandel Chamblee and David Duval will serve as analysts. George Savaricas will provide reports and player interviews. Golf Channel’s Morning Drive also has an on-site presence at TPC Louisiana, with Damon Hack and Charlie Rymer discussing the latest storylines and conducting interviews throughout the week.

Rose defends: Justin Rose finished one shot ahead of Cameron Tringale to earn his seventh career PGA TOUR win.

Golf Channel announces new Web.com Tour broadcast team for 2016: On Thursday Golf Channel will televise the first of 10 Web.com Tour events scheduled on its air in 2016. This season, Golf Channel welcomes a few new faces to its tournament telecast team. Grant Boone returns to Golf Channel as play-by-play host – a role he served in for several years on Golf Channel in the early 2000s; and Golf Channel analyst Tripp Isenhour – winner of multiple Web.com Tour events in his career – will join the team as an on-course reporter. Familiar faces returning to Golf Channel’s Web.com Tour coverage this season include lead analyst Craig Perks, Steve Burkowski (tower analyst) and Kay Cockerill (on-course reporter).

Bryan vying for third Web.com Tour victory this season, automatic promotion to PGA TOUR: Wesley Bryan leads the money list this season on the Web.com Tour after last week’s victory in Mexico, his second of 2016. With a win this week or at any point during the rest of the 2016 Web.com Tour season, Bryan would automatically qualify for an immediate promotion to the PGA TOUR by virtue of winning three times in one year during the Web.com Tour schedule. Bryan also is a well-known trick shot artist along with his brother George, and is a former competitor on Golf Channel’s Big Break series.
