Bastel Win FUTURES Tour Major Championship

DECATUR, Ill. -- Emily Bastel knocked off Onnarin Sattayabanphot in a two-hole playoff Sunday to win the Michelob ULTRA Duramed Futures Players Championship.

Bastel and Sattayabanphot both closed with rounds of 2-under 70 to finish at 10-under-par 278.

The win was worth $14,700 and moved Bastel atop the money list, more than $4,000 clear of Allison Fouch.

Mollie Fankhauser fired a 6-under 66 in the final round to post 8-under-par 280. She shared third place with Rachel Bailey and Caroline Larsson.

Bastel was 1-over for the front nine with two bogeys and a birdie. Around the turn, she birdied the 11th. Bastel converted back-to-back birdies from the 16th to get to 10-under.

Sattayabanphot, a native of Thailand, dropped a shot on the first, but rebounded to birdie two and three.

She made the turn at 10-under after a birdie on nine. Sattayabanphot had a chance to win the title after making birdie on 16, however she bogeyed the 17th to create the playoff.

Kelly Cavanaugh took sixth place at minus-7, while Audra Burks was one stroke further back at 4-under-par 282. Jenny Gleason, Brandi Jackson and Seo-Jae Lee tied for eighth at minus-5.
