Chae Wins First Duramed Futures Tour Title

SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Ha-Na Chae fired a final-round, 3-under 68 on Sunday to win her first Duramed Futures Tour title at the Alliance Bank Futures Golf Classic.

Chae finished at nine-under-par 204 following three rounds at The Links at Erie Village and claimed $9,800 for the win.

Katie Allison posted a two-under 69 in her final round and ended alone in second place at seven-under-par 206.

Two players who shared the second-round lead with Chae led a group of four players who tied for third place. Smriti Mehra and Kristina Tucker closed with even-par 71s to finish at minus-six.

The pair were joined by Elizabeth Janangelo, who shot 68, and Julie Turner- Peluso, who fired a four-under 67 to climb from a tie for 16th place overnight.

The round of the day was turned in by 2006 winners Salimah Mussani and Kristy McPherson.

They both posted six-under 65 on Sunday -- Mussani to climb from tied for 33rd into a tie for seventh, and McPherson to vault from a tie for 49th into a tie for 14th.
