Haas Captures Second Knoxville Crown

FARRAGUT, Tenn. -- Hunter Haas carded a three-under 69 Sunday, his fourth round in the 60s this week, to win the Knoxville Open by five strokes. Haas, who also won this crown in 2004, ended the event at 19-under- par 269.

Gary Christian fired a 6-under 66 to jump into a tie for second at 14-under-par 274. He was joined there by Parker McLachlin, who closed with a 69. Brendon de Jonge (65), Franklin Langham (67) and Brenden Pappas (73) were one stroke further back at minus-13 at Fox Den Country Club.

Jim Rutledge closed with a 5-under 67. That helped him move into a tie for seventh place at 12-under-par 276. He ended alongside Boo Weekley, Matt Hendrix and Jason Caron.
