BLACKWATERFOOT, Scotland – The Isle of Arran provides the ultimate twofer. There are no fewer than five golf courses on the island, including the jewel, Shiskine – which, by the way, may have the game’s coolest logo and most reasonable green fees at 20 pounds ($32).
The place is also a perfect family stop, with endless coastline – it’s less than 2 ½ hours to drive the entire coast – and hiking.
And if all that wasn’t enough, Arran has its own brewery. Heaven on earth.
