LYTHAM ST. ANNES, England – It’s been a particularly eventful week for caddies at the 141st Open.
For Zach Johnson’s man, Damon Green, his adventure began last Sunday following his tie for 17th at the U.S. Senior Open in Michigan. Green caught a ride to Silvis, Ill., on a private jet with Tom Watson where the two then traveled to the United Kingdom on the John Deere Classic 767 charter flight.
It was a bittersweet week for Green, who had taken the week off to play the Senior Open and posted his second consecutive top-20 finish at the national championship but missed Johnson’s playoff victory at the John Deere.
Good news for both Johnson and Green, the duo are currently tied for second at Lytham.
