Having snapped a near three-year winless drought on the PGA Tour, Graeme McDowell is also back inside the top 10 in the Official World Golf Ranking.

The Northern Irishman, who won the RBC Heritage in a playoff on Sunday, rose from 18th to eighth in the latest world rankings, released Monday. It was his highest position since June 2011. The highest he has ever been ranked was fourth (March ’11).

Webb Simpson, who lost in the playoff, rose to 18th from 20th.

Another big mover in the latest OWGR was Raphael Jacquelin, who survived a nine-hole playoff to win the European Tour’s Open de Espana. His fourth career victory vaulted him from 146th to 94th.

Angel Cabrera continued to rise in the rankings as well, after his victory on the PGA Tour Latinoamerica. The big Argentine, who just a month ago was ranked 297th in the world, is now 58th.

The rest of the top 10: Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy, Adam Scott, Justin Rose, Luke Donald (from No. 6), Brandt Snedeker (from No. 5), Louis Oosthuizen, McDowell, Steve Stricker (from No. 8) and Matt Kuchar (from No. 9). Phil Mickelson dropped from 10th to 11th.
