AUGUSTA, Ga. – South Africans seem to have a love affair with Augusta National and the Masters. OK, maybe not Ernie Els. Still, when Louis Oosthuizen shot 68 in the first round many around here believed he could be the next champion from the country, following compatriot Charl Schwartzel’s victory last year.

Oosthuizen has played poorly so far in the second round and has made the turn in 39. He made double bogey on the par-5 second hole, rebounded with birdie on the third, but then made bogey on Nos. 4 and 5.
