Jason Day, a runner-up in his Masters debut a year ago, is nursing a left-foot injury ahead of the year’s first major.

During a Tuesday practice session, the Aussie aggravated the injury to his foot and ankle, which he sustained last week while training. He has been receiving treatment during tournament week.

‘It’s nothing big and at this stage I still intend to play,’ Day said, according to the Australian Associated Press. ‘There was some discomfort but it would take a lot for me to miss a Masters.’

Day has not played on the PGA Tour since the Transitions Championship. He finished T-20 there.
