The battles for American and European Solheim Cup roster spots heat up this summer with extra points at stake in three majors over the next 10 weeks.
After this week’s Shoprite Classic, just six LPGA events remain for Americans to qualify for the Solheim Cup, which is scheduled Aug. 16-18 at Colorado Golf Club just outside Denver. There are only five Ladies European Tour events left for the Euros to qualify. Both teams will be announced at the conclusion of the Ricoh Women’s British Open on Aug. 4.
