Utah’s Black Desert Resort welcomes back the PGA Tour for a third time where a full field tees off Thursday to compete for a $6 million purse and FedExCup Fall points that determine 2027 playing status

Michael Brennan is the defending champion in Ivins after capturing his first win on Tour by shooting 22 under and besting Rico Hoey by four shots last October.

The win created momentum in 2026 for Brennan, who claimed the Wyndham Championship, also at 22 under, and qualified for the FedExCup playoffs in August behind a final-round 64. He sits at a career-high No. 33 in the Official World Golf Ranking. Brennan last played at Bellerive in St. Louis, where he finished T-10 at the BMW Championship.

Below was the early list of players expected to join Brennan this week at the Bank of Utah Championship, where the listed elevation is 3,100 feet. Note that the tournament has seen four withdrawals since that posting and those moves include:

  • Lanto Griffin WD / Kevin Streelman IN
  • Taylor Pendrith WD / Will Gordon IN
  • Austin Eckroat WD / Harry Higgs IN
  • CT Pan WD / Nick Hardy IN

Additionally, Tyson Shelley was added to the field as a sponsor exemption and the field saw four open qualifiers — Seonghyeon An, Carson Lundell Rhett Rasmussen, and Matt Snyder.
