Keegan Bradley’s season came to an end Sunday with a 2-under 68 at the Wyndham Championship. Bradley began the week 72nd in FedExCup points and is projected to remain outside the playoff cutline.
That ends a run of 15 consecutive appearances in the playoffs, which was the longest-active streak after Jason Day missed the cut this week to snap his stretch of 18 straight.
“Yeah, it was a tough year. It was a tough – it’s been a tough like year and a half,” Bradley said. “I’m looking forward to getting home and resetting and coming out next year a little fresher maybe. I got off to such a terrible start this year. Next year hopefully will be better.”
Coming off a year in which he won once and captained the U.S. Ryder Cup team, Bradley missed three of his first five cuts in 2026 and didn’t have a finish better than T-12 all season.
He needed a low score Sunday at Sedgefield Country Club to have a shot at Memphis, and birdied Nos. 5, 6, 8 and 9. Unfortunately, he also made double bogey at the par-3 seventh. The back nine consisted of two birdies and two bogeys, including a dropped shot at the last.
He was outside the top 40 when he signed his card in the early afternoon and was projected to lose ground in the points standings.
The top 70 will qualify for the first playoff event, next week’s FedEx St. Jude Championship at TPC Southwind. The top 50 will then make it to the BMW Championship, before the top 30 compete at the Tour Championship.
As for Bradley, he’s not sure if and when he might play in the fall series. His status is secure for 2027 thanks to his victory at last year’s Travelers Championship. But he does have the Presidents Cup, Sept. 24-27 at Medinah, where he will serve as one of U.S. captain Jim Furyk’s assistants.
“I’m excited to be vice captain at the Presidents Cup, looking forward to getting back in there with the guys and enjoying that team atmosphere,” he said. “Then really need to just kind of move on from all this stuff and hopefully have a better next year.”
