Where a player finishes in the FedExCup Fall standings after the RSM Classic decides his 2027 status. Here are the lines that matter:
| Final fall rank | What it means for 2027 |
| 1 to 50 | Already set. Spots in every ’27 signature event. These players earn 0 fall points. |
| 51 to 60 | The Aon Next 10. Full status plus spots in the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am and Genesis Invitational. |
| 61 to 100 | Full status. Entry to every full-field event and The Players Championship. |
| 101 to 125 | Conditional Tour status, with starts set by priority ranking and reshuffles; fully exempt on Korn Ferry Tour. |
| 126 to 150 | No PGA Tour card. Fully exempt on Korn Ferry Tour. |
| 151 to 200 | Conditional status on Korn Ferry Tour. |
The top 70 from the regular season locked up their 2027 cards by reaching the playoffs. Anyone outside the top 100 can try to win back a card at Q-School. Recent winners and other exempt players keep their cards no matter where they rank.
This is the second fall under the Tour’s policy of awarding only 100 cards. For about four decades the cutoff sat at 125.
VidantaWorld Mexico Open
Andrew Novak needed one week at Vidanta Vallarta to rewrite his 2027 schedule. He won the Mexico Open by five shots at 25 under and climbed from No. 89 to No. 53 in the FedExCup Fall standings.
Here are where the bubbles stand with three events to play.
TOP 100
Kristoffer Ventura, No. 76 (up from 108)
Ventura came to Mexico eight spots outside the number and left 24 spots inside it after a T-2 finish. He said afterward he had quit watching projections and had “made peace with maybe not keeping my card this year.”
Max Greyserman, No. 96 (up from 103)
Greyserman tied for 11th at 17 under and moved back inside the number.
Billy Horschel, No. 97 (down from 94)
Horschel opened the fall at No. 100 and has stayed within 10 spots of it ever since. He withdrew from Mexico after 6 holes during the first round due to “sudden dizziness and lightheadedness.” The withdraw caused him to lose three spots in the rankings. The exemption from his eight Tour wins runs out after this season.
Jason Day, No. 100 (down from 96)
Day’s run of 18 straight playoff appearances ended at the Wyndham in August. He skipped Mexico, slid four spots and now holds the last full card at No. 100.
Mackenzie Hughes, No. 101 (up from 118)
Hughes was tied for second until a bogey at the par-4 16th. The T-4 in Mexico still improved him by 17 spots.
AON NEXT 10
Steven Fisk, No. 54 (up from 70)
Fisk won the Sanderson Farms Championship last fall. His T-2, capped by a Sunday 63, lifted him 16 spots and inside the line with room to spare.
Doug Ghim, No. 55 (up from 56)
Ghim played in the final group and stood at 20 under on the 18th tee. A double bogey there cost him a share of second, but he still gained a spot.
Jordan Spieth, No. 59 (down from 55)
Spieth skipped Mexico and lost four spots. His last start was a T-13 at the Baycurrent Classic in October.
Ben James, No. 62 (up from 63)
James finished No. 1 in the PGA Tour University ranking after seven wins at Virginia and already holds a card through 2027. He came to Mexico with four top-5s in his first 10 pro starts. Two spots separate him from the Aon Next 10.
CONDITIONAL STATUS AND BEYOND
Lucas Glover, No. 111 (down from 110)
Glover began the fall at No. 101 as the first man out. He sat out Mexico and slipped one spot. Exemptions from his back-to-back wins at the Wyndham and the FedEx St. Jude in 2023 expired this year.
Luke Clanton, No. 123 (up from 126)
Clanton entered the fall at No. 147 after a first full season of nine made cuts in 19 starts. A closing 62 in Utah and a T-11 in Bermuda started the climb. Mexico pushed him inside No. 125.
David Ford, No. 125 (down from 121)
Ford missed the cut in Mexico and now holds the last conditional spot.
Joel Dahmen, No. 131 (down from 130)
Dahmen has stood here before. Two years ago, a T-35 at the RSM got him to No. 124, one place inside the old 125 cutoff. Last fall the full-card line moved to 100 and he finished No. 122.
