Tiger Woods returned to the podium on Tuesday morning in Cromwell, Connecticut, albeit briefly.
Woods, who is a member of the PGA Tour’s policy board, introduced PGA Tour CEO Brian Rolapp ahead of Rolapp’s press conference announcing big changes to the Tour’s competitive structure.
Woods hasn’t spoken publicly since the TGL match he played on March 24. He was targeting a competitive return at the Masters, though any plans for a comeback were shelved following his arrest on suspicion of DUI on March 27 near his home in Jupiter Island, Florida. No injuries were sustained in the two-car accident involving Woods’ SUV, and at the time of his arrest, Woods told Martin County Sheriff Department deputies that he took “a few” prescription medications while two hydrocodone pills were found in his pants pocket.
While Woods still faces legal issues stemming from his arrest, he did complete a rehabilitation program in Switzerland a couple weeks ago.

Aside from reading a prepared introduction of Rolapp, Woods released a statement on social media:
“Honored to stand alongside @brianrolapp today at the @TravelersChamp as we announce the @PGATOUR’s new model for 2028 and beyond. This is an exciting moment for the game of golf. It has been a privilege to lead the Future Competition Committee and I am proud of the work we have done to build the best version of the PGA Tour for future generations of players and fans.”
Woods, 50, registered earlier this year for next month’s U.S. Senior Open, though Golf Channel learned that Woods informed the USGA last week that will not compete at Scioto.
