Power Rankings: Stricker the man to beat in Beantown

Here are GolfChannel.com’s Power Rankings, the top 10 favorites for the Deutsche Bank:

1. Steve Stricker: In the four years as part of the FedEx Cup, Stricker has not finished lower than T-13 at the Deutsche Bank Championship, a run that also includes a victory. Steady Steve he is.

2. Dustin Johnson: Confidence level must be sky high after his big win last week at The Barclays. Plus, he now has the luxury of a big lead in the FedEx Cup points standings.

3. Jason Day: Young kid, but big-time player: a pair of runner-up finishes at the Masters and U.S. Open, a T-4 at the WGC-Bridgestone, a T-6 at The Players. You get the picture.

4. Luke Donald: No. 1 in the world. No. 1 on the PGA Tour money list. No. 1 on the scoring average list. No. 1 with most top-10 finishes on Tour (a Tiger-like 10 out of 15 events).

5. Matt Kuchar: Ranked No. 1 on the FedEx Cup points list entering the Playoffs, Kooch did little by way of not backing that up with his second-place showing at The Barclays.

6. Nick Watney: A phenomenal year - two wins thus far - could get even better with a win in one of the remaining playoff events. Currently third in the playoff standings, has plenty to play for at the Deutsche Bank.

7. Webb Simpson: His recent win was obviously no fluke coming on the heels of two other runner-up finishes this season. The win just validated the fact that his future is now.

8. Brandt Snedeker: Hey, when you fire a 61 - like Snedeker did last week at Plainfield CC - something special is definitely going on with your game. That final-round gem also vaulted him to sixth in the standings.

9. Sergio Garcia: Somewhat quietly putting himself back onto PGA Tour leaderboards, including three top-12 showing in majors this year. Plus, he has played a starring role in these playoffs on several different occasions.

10. Vijay Singh: Talk about someone getting their mojo back: back-to-back top-4 finishes at Wyndham and then at The Barclays. The 2008 FedEx Cup champion is officially back in the mix.
