Finchem addresses drug issue

BETHESDA, Md. – One day after he put the groove debate to bed, PGA Tour commissioner Tim Finchem was back in the spotlight on Wednesday at Congressional but this time he was talking about another lingering issue.

Finchem said the Tour has administered over 1,000 tests for performance-enhancing drugs since the circuit began its doping program last July, and although he stressed that there have been no suspensions as a result of a failed test he did caution against the urge to label the sport drug free.

“It's not going to surprise me if we have some issue, but I think what's clear is we do not have a doping problem,” he said.
