Their future's looking bright: 10 ladies earn LPGA cards

With Sydnee Michaels wrapping up the Price Chopper Tour Championship in Albany, N.Y., the season wrapped up on the LPGA Futures Tour. The LPGA’s developmental tour awarded its top-10 on the season-ending money list with cards to play on the LPGA next season.

Michaels, taking her second consecutive win to end the year, earned her a spot along with momentum heading into the offseason.

Joining Michaels are Kathleen Ekey, Lisa Ferrero, Mo Martin, Jane Rah, Valentine Derrey, Tzu-Chi Lin, Hanna Kang and Jenny Gleason. Michaels and Derrey were the lone two rookies on the circuit to graduate from the Futures Tour.

Tiffany Joh finished inside the top-10, but already had LPGA Tour status.

Though Michaels had her card locked up for the year going into the final round in upstate New York, Michaels was playing for significant positioning for next season. The top-five players on the money list earned cards and membership to the LPGA priority category nine, while the second five in category 17.
