- Quail Countdown
The Wells Fargo Championship begins at 7AM ET. David Duval is among the six players first off this morning and he tees off at the 10th hole alongside Tommy Gainey and David Mathis. Duval hasn't won since his 2001 Open Championship victory.
- Woodland's Wrist
Gary Woodland won't be bombing drives at Quail Hollow today. He withdrew as he continues to recover from a left wrist injury. Russell Knox takes his place in the field.
- Trump Triumph
A Donald Trump course will host a major championship. The USGA will name Trump National in Bedminster, New Jersey as the site of the 2017 U.S. Women's Open.
- September Start
The PGA TOUR Latinoamerica will begin its inaugural schedule on September 5th with the Mundo Maya Open in Merida, Mexico. The tour will feature 11 events in 7 different countries this fall.
