After becoming the highest profile pick of the 2014 NFL Draft and the Cleveland Brown's new "backup quarterback" last Thursday, Johnny Manziel had the golf world buzzing when news spread that he would be competing in this week's HP Byron Nelson Championship pro-am. Unfortunately for golf fans everywhere, yesterday the 22nd overall pick who plays to "about a 5 or 10 handicap," had to pull out of the event because of obligations in Cleveland.

But thanks to Instagram, we can catch a glimpse into what could have been. Below we find Manziel, in a post from a few week's ago, hitting the golf course - in a bold backwards hat-untucked shirt combo - and smashing driver off the deck. As if Johnny Football would have it any other way.
