News station interviews Rory's non-existent cousin

The storylines were coming fast and furious at last week’s WGC-Cadillac Match Play in San Francisco. From locals enjoying the treat of seeing pros tee it up at the same course they play to Rickie Fowler’s lack of colorful clothing, NBC Bay Area news had all the important stuff covered.

They even scored an exclusive interview with Rory McIlroy’s cousin, Jarly McIlroy, who lives in the Bay Area and had some great insight on the world No. 1’s game at the 1:25 mark of the video below:

Which is all fine and dandy except for the fact that Rory doesn't have a cousin named Jarly who lives in San Francisco. Whoopsies.

According to Sports Joe, that was actually Jarlath Magee from County Down in Northern Ireland.

Good job, good effort, though.
