Logan Reilly and Preston Stout are co-winners of the men’s individual title at the East Lake Cup, where they each posted record-setting 7 under 65s on Monday afternoon.
An Auburn sophomore, Reilly completed his historic round before Stout, officially breaking the East Lake Golf Club record for a men’s collegiate round. The previous record holders at 6 under were Scottie Scheffler while he was at Texas and Oklahoma State’s Zach Bauchou.
Reilly, who clinched the winning putt for Auburn’s NCAA team championship in June 2026, carded eight birdies and one bogey for a career-best 65.
Stout, the Oklahoma State senior and world’s top-ranked amateur, nailed a birdie putt at the 18th hole to match Reilly’s 65 about a half hour later for his ninth collegiate win.
Reilly’s turn through the final hole didn’t play out as easy but he still was able to par thanks to this tremendous approach shot.

“I got over it and knew that was the play for sure and I agreed with my coaches and took it on,” said Reilly of his big gamble at 18 when asked if he ever thought of pitching it out to his left.
Stout said he wasn’t look at the scoreboard but was aware of his deficit during the back nine because he was playing with Reilly’s teammate, Josiah Gilbert.
“He was telling me, ‘Oh Logan, made another birdie another birdie.’ Great, I don’t really want to know but thanks for telling me,” Stout joked in his post-round interview. “But I did ask Josiah on 18 if [Logan] finished at 6 or 7 and he told me and that helped feed me down the stretch.”
The East Lake Cup continues in match play on Tuesday in Atlanta. Auburn leads Oklahoma State by two shots on the men’s side of the competition.
On the women’s side, Arkansas senior María José Marín posted a 5 under to win the individual title earlier in the day.
Despite Marin’s best efforts, Arkansas enters Day 2 two shots back of USC.
