Jamieson emotional after first DPWT win in nearly 14 years
Scott Jamieson won the Nexo Championship for his first DPWT victory since December 2013. He gave an emotional interview after his triumph.

ABERDEEN, Scotland — Scott Jamieson won the Nexo Championship by two shots at one of President Donald Trump’s golf courses in Scotland on Sunday, securing a first DP World Tour title in 14 years.

The 42-year-old Scot shot 5-under 67 and finished on 11 under par overall at Trump International Golf Links in Aberdeenshire.

It was his second title on the tour, after winning the Nelson Mandela Championship in South Africa in 2012.

England’s Matthew Jordan was runner-up after shooting 70 and compatriot Andy Sullivan (68) was two strokes further back in third.

Overnight leader Shaun Norris shot 76 and tied for seventh place. Norris endured a two-shot penalty Sunday for improving his stance when he kicked a replaced divot from underneath his feet while setting up for his approach shot on the par-4 fifth.

Shaun Norris shared the lead entering the back nine Sunday at the DP World Tour’s Nexo Championship when he was assessed a two-stroke penalty.
