Dramatic finishes seem to be following Michael La Sasso wherever he goes this summer.
A few weeks after his career breakthrough win at the LIV season finale in Indianapolis where he bested Jon Rahm and Bryson DeChambeau, the 22-year-old shot a final round 5-under 67 on Friday at Golf-und Country Club Seddiner See in Michendorf, Germany.
It was good enough for the 2025 NCAA individual champion to qualify on the number at DP World Tour first-stage Qualifying School.
All of it was in jeopardy after a costly bogey on the par-3 11th hole though.
La Sasso followed that up with a par on No. 12 and then birdied four of his six last holes to get to T-18 for the tournament.
Fellow LIV players Josele Ballester, Luis Masaveu and Yosuke Asaji also made it through first stage.
The first stage of DP World Tour Q School continues next weekend with events at Dunham Forest Golf and Country Club in Altrincham, England, and Arlandastad Golf (Masters Course), in Rosersberg, Sweden.
