UCLA rising sophomore Alison Lee on Tuesday was named the inaugural recipient of the Annika Award, which recognizes the most outstanding player in women’s college golf.

The Annika Award, voted on by players, coaches and media members, is the female version of the Haskins Award, which honors the best male player in college golf.

Lee, 19, won three times last season and helped the United States capture the Curtis Cup. She finished the year atop Golfstat’s individual rankings.

Lee will receive the award at the inaugural Annika Invitational, a college event that will be held in September at Reunion Resort outside Orlando.
