ORLANDO, Fla. -- Beginning Tuesday (Aug. 5), GOLF CHANNEL will give viewers an inside-the-ropes feel to all of the action at the 2008 PGA Championship, taking place at Oakland Hills Country Club in Bloomfield Hills, Mich. ‘Live From the PGA Championship’ will include 26 hours of live wraparound news coverage, delivering the most compelling news and delivering insightful analysis throughout tournament week.
‘Live From the PGA Championship’ will begin with News Conferences on Tuesday (Aug. 5) from 1-3 p.m. ET, hosted by Vince Cellini, Brandel Chamblee and Frank Nobilo.
Tuesday and Wednesday (Aug. 5-6) at 7 p.m. ET, ‘Live From the PGA Championship’ will air two-hour pre-tournament shows with interviews, features and all of the latest news updates. Thursday ' Friday (Aug. 7-8), ‘Live From’ will present three-hour preview shows leading into network coverage at 10 a.m. ET, with two-hour editions Saturday ' Sunday starting at 9 a.m. ET.
Prime-time ‘Live From the PGA Championship’ shows will air immediately following network coverage Thursday ' Sunday at 7 p.m. ET, wrapping up all of the days action with highlights, interviews, analysis and shot-recreations. The broadcast team will consist of Vince Cellini hosting the early ‘Live From’ telecasts with Kraig Kann and Kelly Tilghman rotating as hosts of the prime time shows, joined by analysts Frank Nobilo, Brandel Chamblee and Peter Oosterhuis; insiders John Hawkins, Brian Hewitt, Tim Rosaforte and Alex Miceli and reporters Steve Sands, Rich Lerner, Inga Hammond and Adam Barr. Chamblee and Nobilo also will re-create the key shots from each day at Oakland Hills. ‘Live From the PGA Championship’ will re-air Tuesday ' Sunday throughout the night.
