SYDNEY – With an 8-footer for birdie at The Lakes’ par-4 15th hole Tiger Woods moved into a share of the lead. Three holes later Woods rolled in another birdie from 10 feet to move two clear of the field and into the lead for the first time this year since the final round at the Masters.

Woods, who began his second round at the Australian Open on the 10th hole, posted a 5-under 32 on his outward loop and is two shots clear of Nick Watney and Jarrod Lyle at 9 under.

This week also marks the two-year anniversary of Woods’ last victory of any kind at the 2009 Australian Masters.
