- Eyes on Irene: Hurricane Irene is zeroing in on North Carolina and is forecasted to move through New Jersey Sunday. The PGA TOUR says there won’t be enough daylight Saturday to finish before Irene hit.
- Barclays Delay: A 3 hour weather delay at The Barclays slowed down the 1st round pace. 51 players will resume their 1st rounds at 7:15am Eastern. The 2nd Round will begin at 7:45.
- Extra Holes: Patrick Cantlay needed 21 holes to defeat Russell Henley at the U.S. Amateur. Defending champion Peter Uihlein and U.S. Junior Champ Jordan Spieth advanced as well.
