Players champion Matt Kuchar has withdrawn from next week’s Memorial at Muirfield Village, just outside of Columbus, Ohio.

The world No. 5 did not provide a reason for pulling out of the event, according to the Columbus Dispatch.

Kuchar is playing for the third week in a row at Colonial, where he made the cut at 1 over.

Replacing Kuchar in the field is Fred Couples. Couples won the Memorial title in 1998, but missed the cut a year ago.
