Rocket Classic 2026: Storms impact final round in Motown

PGA Tour highlights: 2026 Rocket Classic, Round 2
Watch the best shots and moments from the second round of the 2026 Rocket Classic.

A $10 million purse is at stake Sunday in the Motor City as the PGA Tour’s penultimate regular season event will see its final 18 holes played but not without a little unforeseen drama from Mother Nature.

Storms overnight and into Sunday morning have forced the Tour’s hand, bumping final round tee times — which will be revealed after the conclusion of the third round Saturday — and having players go off in groupings, rather than the expected pairings.

Live final-round action runs 1 to 3 p.m. on Golf Channel and Golf Channel mobile, with CBS taking over the late afternoon broadcast.

Michael Brennan is the current leader at 13 under through the front nine at Detroit Golf Club. He’s looking to get in under Rasmus Hojgaard’s clubhouse lead of 12 under.

For the third day in a row the mark for single-lowest round in course history was tied as Hojgaard followed Cameron Young and Peter Malnati with a 9-under 61.

All three rounds were bogey-free, with Young going for six straight birdies on Friday. Brennan was actually the one who carded eight consecutive circles a day prior, one off the Tour record.

Young, the tournament favorite and 2026 Open Championship runner-up, is currently T-8 through nine. Malnati, the leader after Thursday’s opening round, sits T-54 with six holes to play in Round 3.

The final round of the Rocket Classic is underway at the Detroit Golf Club in Detroit, Mich.

The Rocket Classic final round tee times will be posted in this story when available Saturday evening.
