Here's your chance to see Shadow Creek: Michael Jordan Celebrity Invitational

When it comes to courses that are technically "open" to the public, Shadow Creek Golf Course in Las Vegas sure feels more like Augusta National.
Shadow Creek costs $500 to play, plus a night's stay at an MGM Resort, making it a playground only the rich and famous get to enjoy. But the veil of secrecy gets lifted at Shadow Creek for just the second time in history next week.
The exclusive club will open its doors to the public March 29-April 1 for the 11th Annual Michael Jordan Celebrity Invitational. Daily tickets ($30) or weekly passes ($100) -- there are discounts for military and seniors -- can get you access to not only tour Shadow Creek, an oasis in the desert by Tom Fazio, but a front-row seat to watch Jordan, NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers, Ken Griffey Jr., Wayne Gretzky, Roger Clemens, Brett Hull, Chris Chelios, Maury Povich and others.
For many of us, this might be the only chance to walk these lush green fairways. The tournament Web site indicates "point-and-shoot" cameras are welcome all days of the event, so with a little luck, maybe you can secure an autograph and photograph of one of your favorite sports heroes or celebrities.
The Celebrity-Amateur tournament, hosted by ARIA Resort & Casino, pairs one celebrity with four amateur participants, during the week next Thursday (March 29) and Friday (March 30). The MJCI two-person, 36-hole scramble format featuring just the celebrities takes place on the weekend on Saturday (March 31) and Sunday (April 1).
Proceeds from the tournament will benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation (Jordan is hosting one Make-A-Wish child), the UC San Diego Nevada Cancer Institute, the James R. Jordan Foundation, the Opportunity Village and Cats Care, the NBA's Charlotte Bobcats' charity arm. Since its inception in 2001, MJCI has raised more than $6 million for charity.
