If the four major championships were combined into a single Megatron of a major, then Charl Schwartzel would be king of them all in 2011.
Of all the players to compete in the majors this year, Schwartzel was one of just 11 players to play in all 16 rounds. Among those 11 players, Schwartzel had the best combined score. With a total par of 1,132, Schwartzel finished the year on 14 under par. That had him four shots better than Steve Stricker for the honor of low man in the majors.
Schwartzel won the Masters in April at 14 under par. He played the remaining majors in even par: 4 under at the U.S. Open, 5 over at the Open Championship and 1 under at the PGA.
Here’s a look at all 11 players.
