My Take
The Tour Championship - the PGA Tour’s supposed crowning moment for the season. Let’s celebrate this yearly event by ... playing it at East Lake every year? To borrow from ESPN’s Sunday NFL show, ‘C’mon man!’
Yes, I’m well aware of the impact the Tour has had on that once troubled area in Atlanta. Commendable to say the least. But it is time to move on.
Either to the best, most exciting course America has to offer, or a rotating situation that showcases some of the best courses in the U.S.
I’m crossing my fingers. Meanwhile, Tim Finchem is giving me the finger.
Sports Lounge
I normally don’t encourage gambling, but hell, with one big event left on the PGA Tour season, thought I would offer up the odds to win the Tour Championship. Not the FedEx Cup playoffs mind you - but tha actuall tournament itself. And the Golf Guy’s personal picks:
Rory McIlroy - 5/1: Back-to-back-to-back wins? I’d stay away.
Tiger Woods - 5/1: Not great odds, but he should be in the mix - so not a bad flyer.
