ORLANDO, Fla. – After years of being in what was termed ‘suspended animation’ during a Saturday press conference, the PNC Father/Son Challenge will return to the schedule later this year.

Scheduled for Dec. 15-16 at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club in Orlando, the field will feature 18 two-man teams comprised of winners of either a major championship or the Players Championship.

The event will benefit the Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children and the Winner Palmer Hospital for Women and Babies, with Arnold Palmer serving as tournament ambassador – and potential competitor.

‘Well, my plans are right now, I’m thinking about it,’ he said with a wink. ‘I have two grandsons that are eligible.’
