Welcome back to Weekly Fix! I’m Tim Cooke and as is the case each week on we’re taking a closer look at your swings in hopes of helping you play your best golf this year.

This week, we’re going to take a look at Bob’s golf swing.

Bob has pretty good action in his swing and I especially like his excellent setup position. But he also has a swing fault that is common to so many golfers.

What are we talking about? We’re talking about moving into the golf ball on the downswing, and we’re going to provide Bob, and you, with some drills this week to help fix a problem that I see quite often with my students.

Popular golf instruction tips:  Setup Full SwingPower Accuracy

As a summary this week, the tips I would suggest that everyone take away from this analysis would include the following:

• You want to achieve balance and stability at address and a great way to do this is to feel as if a vertical line would run straight down from your armpits, through your kneecaps and into the balls of your feet.

• How you swing the club and what you’re capable of in your swing depends a great deal on what your body is capable of. Seeing a TPI professional for an evaluation is a great way to learn where you can improve your fitness and what limitations you might have.

• If you tend to come out of your posture or move into the ball on the downswing, feeling as though you turn your chest over the ball through impact will help you fix those issues.

That’s it for this week’s edition of Weekly Fix. Thanks for stopping by and keep sending us those videos at We’ll be back with a brand new edition next week right here at
