If there was any discussion around which final-round pairing at the Tour Championship would produce the most highlight-worthy shots on Sunday, Justin Rose and Si Woo Kim put that debate to bed at the turn at East Lake Golf Club.
Weaponizing his 6-iron at the par-3 ninth hole, Rose went from the tee box to the bottom of the cup — good for his fourth career hole-in-one on Tour. It was the first ace surrendered at the ninth since 2019 when Xander Schauffele carded a third-round hole-in-one.
The big shot helped the 46-year-old Rose shoot even-par 35 on his front nine, erasing damage done by a pair of par-4 bogeys at Nos. 1 and 8.

Kim didn’t waste much time submitting his own spectacular shot.
At the par-4 10th hole, the South Korean’s approach shot from the fairway went 120 yards onto the green before rolling into the hole for an eagle.
Kim’s hole-out got him to 10 under on the tournament. He gave a stroke back at No. 11, where he bogeyed after missing his par putt attempt left.
The back-nine roller-coaster didn’t stop there for the world’s No. 13-ranked player as Kim birdied the par-4 12th hole to move inside the top 10 on the leaderboard.
Rose, meanwhile, bogeyed the 10th before going birdie-birdie to move to 9 under through the first dozen holes of day’s final round.

Kim finished T-14 at 9 under over 72 holes. Rose finished T-18, two shots behind Kim and nine off eventual winner Scottie Scheffler. Two additional bogeys on the back nine sunk Rose’s hopes of crashing the top 10.
