Scottie Scheffler’s winning putt at East Lake officially kicked off Presidents Cup season, with a half dozen International players locking up automatic qualifying bids on captain Geoff Ogilvy’s roster.
All six players wrapped up their respective final rounds at the Tour Championship in Atlanta on Sunday, finishing inside the top 30 in FedExCup points in 2026.
Here are the six names who automatically qualified for the International Team’s roster when the biennial event tees off at Medinah Country Club’s Course No. 3 from Sept. 24-27:
- Si Woo Kim
- Hideki Matsuyama
- Ryan Fox
- Tom Kim
- Min Woo Lee
- Adam Scott
The next six names in International points for Ogilvy’s wild-card consideration are: Corey Conners, Nico Echavarria, Sungjae Im, Ryo Hisatsune, Jason Day and Casey Jarvis.
Only Echavarria and Jarvis have wins in 2026, with Echavarria’s coming back at the Cognizant on March 1 and Jarvis’ two victories coming earlier this year on the DP World Tour.
How do International players qualify for the Presidents Cup?
The International team consists of non-European players.
The Presidents Cup rankings are reflective of Official World Golf Ranking points (OWGR). To be eligible for automatic qualification, International players must have competed in 15 or more OWGR-rated events from September 8, 2025, through August 31, 2026.

The American roster was partially filled with its six automatic bids at the conclusion of the BMW Championship, with the penultimate event of the FedExCup playoffs marking an end to its qualifying window.
World No. 1 Scheffler secured his Presidents Cup place via automatic qualifying. Same goes for Players champ Cameron Young and U.S. Open winner Wyndham Clark
Clark played his way into the top six in St. Louis last week, leaping from No. 7 in the standings to No. 3. As a result, Ben Griffin fell out of the top six. Clark is the only U.S. automatic qualifier who did not compete in last year’s Ryder Cup at Bethpage.
U.S. captain Brandt Snedeker, like Ogilvy, has six picks at his discretion.
