Open Championship 2026: Final round odds for Sunday at Royal Birkdale

Burns goes from questionable to 54-hole leader at The Open
Bryson DeChambeau decided to hit golf balls after arguing with R&A officials about improving his lie on the fifth hole at Royal Birkdale. DeChambeau was docked two strokes for breaching the R&A's rule.

Sam Burns has a shot at major redemption Sunday at Royal Birkdale.

After a heartbreaking runner-up finish at the U.S. Open last month, Burns walks into the final round of the 154th Open Championship as a pretty significant favorite to win despite what has been a whirlwind week.

He’s playing in his first event after the birth of his daughter Belle earlier this month. He got off to a slow start, finding his name next to T-105 on the leaderboard after Thursday’s opening round. A day later, he etched his name into history books with a record-tying 62.

Now, that the recap is out of the way, let’s take a look at just how wide of a margin Burns is getting over the field after climbing to the top of the leaderboard on Moving Day and who sits behind him on the list of favorites.

Open Championship winner prediction

Sam Burns! Don’t overthink what you’re seeing with your eyes. He may have opened +4500 but this guy has been playing at an elite level all year at majors, and The Open is absolutely the most fitting place for him to tie up a lot of loose narrative threads.

Never doubt the new dad strength, even if the odds are a deplorable +140 right now. Tsk tsk tsk.

The Open final round parlay

Stay with us here because this requires a bit of creativity but we really like Scottie Scheffler and Tommy Fleetwood to secure T-10 finishes on Sunday. Put those two together though and you’re not fishing in deep enough waters. So, what’s the solution? Why yes, it’s attaching this parlay to another parlay! We’ll take the steady hands of Eric Cole and Jackson Suber to place T-20 (including ties). Get all four of those legs knotted together and presto: +460. Those are odds we give a double thumbs up.

Final round best bet

We’ll give out a pair here for the sake of generosity — and they’re both plus money. Jon Rahm to finish top 10 including ties is +102. Yes, please, thank you. Slightly a little more down the board: Shane Lowry is +166 in the same market.

Both are worthy of small investments after solid Saturday performances on the firm and fiery fairways of Birkdale.
