Colt Knost leads the RBC Heritage at the halfway mark by two shots. Knost shot a bogey-free, 5-under 66 at Harbour Town on Friday to lead Carl Pettersson (65) by a pair.
Former two-time Heritage winner Boo Weekley and rookie Harris English are tied for third at 6 under.
Chad Campbell and Robert Garrigus are 5 under, ahead of Fredrik Jacobson, Bob Estes, defending champion Brandt Snedeker and Kevin Na. The highlight of Estes' round was a hole-in-one at the par-3 fourth hole.
World No. 1 Luke Donald will see the weekend with a chance to maintain his top spot in the Official World Golf Ranking. Donald shot 2-under 69 to trail Knost by 11 shots going into the final 36 holes. Donald must finish in the top 8 to keep the No. 1 ranking ahead of Rory McIlroy.
