SUGAR GROVE, Ill. – It's a good bet Euros Maria Hjorth and Catriona Matthew don't like the design of the 12th hole.
After Hjorth hit her drive to the right center of the fairway, she ended up behind a tree and had to punch out. Two towering trees are actually well within the fairway there. Though it's just a 342-yard hole, it took both Hjorth and Matthew three shots to reach the green. Matthew watched her chip at the bottom of the hill that the green is built on not roll back to her feet. They both failed to make par and watched their lead on Pressel/Wie fall to 1 up.
