MARANA, Ariz. – On Wednesday Mike Weir looked like a member of his beloved Canadian Olympic hockey team and Dove Mountain’s holes had the look of an open net. On Tuesday in his second-round match against Paul Casey he’s getting a taste of his own medicine.

Weir, who birdied nine of his first 10 holes to roll over long-hitting Alvaro Quiros in Round 1, is 4 down through five holes to Casey after the Englishman birdied his first four holes. That’s tough to survive, just ask Quiros.
