Kyle Stanley, among one of the deepest college classes the game has seen in some time, is playing this week’s Wyndham Championship.
But the Greensboro stop will not be a one-off event for the Clemson standout who turned pro shortly before the Travelers Championship.
Stanley also will likely land a sponsor's exemption into the Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open and he is hopeful to get a start at the Turning Stone Resort Championship and Children’s Miracle Network Classic.
Stanley, who wisely enlisted the services of veteran caddie Mike Hicks this week in North Carolina, is looking to become the first player since Ryan Moore in 2005 to jump from college directly to the PGA Tour without a trip to Q-School via sponsor exemptions.
Don’t bet against him.
